About the Event
There's nothing that compares to the flavor of home-canned tomatoes. Whether you harvest from your own garden or you purchase them at the farmers market, perfectly ripe, in-season tomatoes are top notch delicious. So why buy that stuff in a can when you can can your own!
In this action-packed class, Emily McClure from the Jackson County Cooperative Extension is going to be our canning guide. She's going to help us can tomatoes as well as a garden fresh salsa! I'm so excited.
There's a very right and a very wrong way to can, and we're so lucky that Emily's going to teach us to can like pros!
I'm going to be a student right along with you all. I can't wait!
Sound good? Come join us! We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of awesome food preservation info along the way!
