I'll be the first one to say that even a bad pickle is probably worth eating. But then I'll also probably remark about how it could have been so much better. And this is precisely why I'm teaching this class. I want to teach you how to make GREAT pickles. The kind that your uncle will still talk about five years later: "Hey, Jen, can you send down some of those spicy habanero pickles that you had at John's graduation party?" He really asks this. Still.
And now your family can beg you for pickles. They're that good.
We'll learn how to make spicy, sweet, garlicky, and/or herby varieties. It's a choose-your-own-adventure class, and I'm excited to be your guide. Join me as we take simple ingredients and transform them into pickle magic!
NOTE: And, while this is one of the few classes that uses very few pantry ingredients, we still believe that stocking the perfect pantry is still super important and central to nearly all of the recipes we make.
Most all of our recipes are pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
