About the Event
In my humble opinion, scallions are the very best onion. They're super sweet, mild, inexpensive, easy to grow, and can be enjoyed raw or cooked in a myriad of ways. Unlike most onions that you buy in the store, they have the greens, too!
Sadly, though, many cooks never look beyond them as a garnish. When cooked, they're super duper sweet, really fragrant, and have an awesome texture. They take well to searing, grilling, pickling, frying, and so much more.
In this class, we're going to celebrate the scallion with my favorite springtime noodle dish. And, you just wait until the silky egg yolk meets the noodles...grab the tissues because there's about to be happy tears.
