About the Event
What better time to explore comfort foods than the winter? In this Nourishing Comfort Foods mini-series, we're going to take a veggie-centric approach to classic comfort foods.Â
In this particular class, we'll make smoky, slightly-spicy, veggie-forward bean chili with easy cornbread muffins. YUM! Â
In this class, we will...
- learn how to make the most of affordable, nutritious canned beans and corn
- "bloom" various spices from our DIY blend to make a very flavorful chiliÂ
- build layers of flavor in our chili with fresh veggies
- use a muffin tin to make fast, tasty cornbread muffins
So come join us as we have tons of fun, make delicious food, and learn lots of great things with our community.
This class will be held on February 13th, from 11-1pm, at the Jackson County Public Library in Downtown Sylva.
