A Better Grilled Burger ~ In Person Cooking Class
Under no circumstances should a burger be "meh." A good burger, both beef and vegetarian, should be outstanding. You should be sad when you've taken the last bite, and you should no doubt think about it until the next time you have one again. That glorious burger is what this class is about.

About the Event
You know it when it happens. You take a bite, close your eyes, and wonder how something could possibly taste that good. That, to me, is the perfect grilled burger: soft, yet toasted bun, juicy, well-seasoned patty, melted cheese, and just the right amount of toppings. I know, right?
But the thing is that so many people are grill-shy. I used to be. I was first afraid of grills, then afraid of charcoal grilling, and now I push my husband aside so I can tend to the flame.
The point is that no matter what you want to grill, learning how to use your grill is half the battle. And that's what we're going to focus on in this class...using delicious, wonderful burgers as the subject.
In this class, we'll make a fantastic burger while learning about:
- cleaning and prepping a grill
- dual-zone grilling
- grilling a juicy burger
- composing a well-balanced burger-eating experience, both for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike
- using a napkin as a bib (because I know I'll be modeling best practices for this 😆)
So come and join us, in person, outdoors, at Innovation Station with our friend Duval Smith from FSC Ranch! We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of culinary techniques along the way!
Class will be Friday, June 30 at 6:00pm EST.
All ingredients will be provided, but please bring an apron if you have one. We will cook, laugh, learn, and share yummy food together...with our community. :)

We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
