About the Event
I need to give credit to the hubby for this one. He's a big fan of buttermilk; he uses it for baking all the time. But that means we often have leftover buttermilk that needs to be used. Pancakes? Sure. Mashed potatoes? Of course. But that one glorious day when he was making mac and cheese for our little Josie and he decided to use buttermilk in the cheese sauce? WINNER WINNER WINNER!!!
The pleasant tang of buttermilk elevated the cheese sauce to something magical. Like rainbow-colored unicorns magical. I can't even begin to explain. So that's why you have to take this class!
In this class, we'll learn some solid basic skills like how to boil the perfect pasta, how to make a roux, how to make a cream sauce, and then how to turn that into a flawless cheese sauce. And as for the best mac and cheese? That's the culimination of all these skills rolled into one creamy, cheesy, tangy, delicious dish.
So won't you join us? We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of awesome culinary tips and tricks along the way.
This class will be Thursday, November 10th from 5:30-7pm EST via Zoom.
So go ahead and RSVP! I'll send you the list of tools and ingredients you'll need a few days before our class.
And, as always, this class makes use of some items from your perfect pantry ingredients!
Our recipes are all pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
