Cuban Feast, Part 1: Black Beans, Rice & Sweet Plantains ~ Cooking Class
Thu, Jan 28
|Zoom
Light, bright, and flavorful ~ that's Cuban cuisine. In my opinion, it's got it all. The ingredients are beautifully simple and there's no special equipment needed. In this class, we'll be making the perfect black beans with fluffy rice and pan-fried sweet plantains.

About the Event
I grew up eating Cuban food in South Florida and not just in restaurants. I have Cuban friends, Cuban family, and some of my warmest food memories of childhood are centered around this amazing cuisine. It's really special. AND DELICIOUS.
My favorite dishes are light and bright with just the right amount of salt, sweet, heat, and acid. You know when people talk about the perfect single bite of food? Mine is rice, beans, a bit of sweet plantain, extra limey onions, and a little nibble of crispy griddled chicken. To me, there's nothing better. And I think you may agree after this two-part series.
In this class, we'll be making fluffy rice, super flavorful black beans, and pan-fried sweet plantains.
For my gluten-free and dairy-free friends, these recipes are right up your alley!
Come and join me as we make your new favorite cuisine. We'll have tons of fun…
