About the Event
Most of us have a drawer full of knives: big ones, little ones, serrated ones, skinny, flexible ones, and more. But how do you know which ones to use for which task? Which is best for chopping an onion? What about removing the skin from fish? How about cleanly slicing a tomato without squishing it? Exactly. So. Many. Questions.
In this workshop, we'll talk about how to choose, use, and care for your knives. Learning how to do these things is a critical step on one's journey to culinary empowerment, and I'm excited to share this info with you. Let's start the new year out right with some shiny new skills!
Oh, by the way, since we'll be slicing, dicing, and chopping, we'll also enjoy the fruits of our labor in the form of a tasty chopped salad.
So won't you come join us? We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of awesome culinary techniques along the way.
This class will be Thursday, January 13th from 5:30-7pm EST via Zoom.
Once you RSVP, I'll send you the list of tools and ingredients you'll need.
And, as always, this class makes use of some items from your perfect pantry ingredients!
Our recipes are all pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
