Make-Ahead Brekkie Burritos ~ Cooking Class

If your weekday mornings are anything like mine, then you need a good breakfast that takes care of itself. Friends, meet the breakfast burrito. These babies are filled with eggs, veggies, cheese, and even beans, and all you have to do is heat them up! That's it. You can thank me later. :)

About the Event
To say that weekday mornings are hectic is an understatement. Our household is a tornado of activity, as I'm sure yours is. Between kids, pets, making lunches, finding lost socks (and lost car keys), and trying to make it out the door on time to school and work, a nutritious and filling breakfast can sometimes be the last thing on our minds. But it shouldn't be.
For me, a good day starts with a good breakfast. But that doesn't mean I've got to add more to my already overflowing plate. I want a breakfast that's homemade and doesn't involve any dishes or work. That's where make-ahead breakfast burritos come in! (Insert the super hero sounds of your choice.)
These one-handed breakfast gems are warm, pleasantly squishy, loaded with satiating protein and fiber, and you can eat them with one hand as you're holding your coffee with the other. But wait, it gets even better...
You can make these for about .75 a piece!
In this class, we're going to make the fluffiest scrambled eggs, sauté all kinds of veggies, make quick refried beans, and combine all that in a tortilla with melty cheese. Then we're gonna wrap them up like you've been moonlighting at Chipotle and properly store them in the freezer for when you're having one of *those* mornings.
This class will be Thursday, April 28th from 5:30-7pm EST via Zoom.

Our recipes are all pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
