About the Event
If you love the idea of chocolate getting all cozy with pumpkin and also LOVE a new cookie recipe, this one's for you!
I need to confess that I'm not a pie fan. It's true. You can throw your hands up and doubt my culinary advice ever again if you must, but it's true. Pie's not my thing. But cookies, on the other hand...I dream of them.
I love a seasonal twist on a classic and especially appreciate the recipe when it helps me use up another ingredient in the best possible way. These cookies do both! Oh and the dough is also perfect for freezing and using later.
Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are so darn good. Melty chocolate, sweet pumpkin, and pie spice become besties in this seasonally-perfect cookie. (Yep, dust off that pumpkin pie spice because it's got work to do!)
In just 60 minutes, we'll...
- learn the basics of cookie making
- discuss how much spice is just right
- learn how to use our ovens to get the best cookie results
- freeze dough for later
- learn to thaw and bake cookies when you're ready
- have a blast with our cooking community!
So tie on your favorite apron and come make cookies with us! We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of culinary techniques along the way!
Class will be Thursday, November 9th from 5:30-6:30pm EST.
And, as always, this class makes use of some items from your perfect pantry ingredients!
Our recipes are all pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
