About the Event
I love love love a good pasta salad. But too bad the good ones are hard to find! Most of them are one-note, and that note is just tons of mayo. And, while I definitely appreciate mayo, it shouldn't be the star of the show. I want lots of veggies, a zippy vinaigrette, a crumble of cheese that's approproiate for the dish, and a bunch of fresh herbs. And I definitely want it to reflect the bounty of the season. Don't you?
In this class, we're going to learn all the tips and tricks of a fantastic pasta salad that's worthy of entree status.
Together, we'll:
- properly cook the pasta (yes, pasta salad pasta is different than pasta for a hot dish)
- make the best blended vinaigrette
- use our knife skills to cut veggies appropriate for the salad
- adjust this dish for the seasons
So won't you join us? We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of awesome culinary tips and tricks along the way.
This class will be Thursday, April 20th from 5:00-7pm EST via Zoom. (PLEASE NOTE EARLIER CLASS TIME.)
So go ahead and RSVP! I'll send you the list of tools and ingredients you'll need a few days before our class.
And, as always, this class makes use of some items from your perfect pantry ingredients!
Our recipes are all pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
