About the Event
Raise your hand if you'd like to head into Monday knowing your fridge was stocked with multiple meal options for the week. Keep your hand up if you'd like those meal options to be delicious, nutritious, homemade, and flexible enough to suit all of the dietary preferences in your household. Exactly. Me, too. My preferred version of meal planning/meal prep here in my Uncomplicated Kitchen is to use the components in my fridge (grains, cooked veggies, raw veggies, proteins, etc.) to make dynamic meals that I'm excited about eating. Because I love food! And I know you do, too.
But it doesn't mean that I have the time and energy to cook every night. And it doesn't mean I don't occasionally want to spend my "free" time doing other things. And I suspect you may feel the same way. In our BRAND NEW Well-Planned Meals classes, we'll make individual components to meals that make sense together. What's even better is that you'll leave each two-hour class with several ways to put these pieces together to make really delicious meals.
This class is all about celebrating grilling season! From BBQ bowls to veggie wraps to BBQ nachos and even a loaded salad with lots of grilled goodies, you'll be able to choose how you mix and match. The components we'll be making in this class are:
- homemade BBQ sauce
- baked beans
- spice-rubbed chicken or shrimp
- grilled mixed veggies
- quick pickles
- cole slaw
- tangy vinaigrette
Off the top of my head, the above list contains at least six tasty combinations that I really love. And I'm so excited to show you what meal planning looks like...in our Uncomplicated Kitchen! After you RSVP, I'll send you the ingredient list (including strictly plant-based options) and some info to scale the recipes up or down to suit your household size.
Come on and join us! We'll have tons of fun and learn lots of culinary techniques along the way!
Class will be Sunday, May 16th from 4-6pm EST.
And, as always, this class makes use of some items from your perfect pantry ingredients!
Our recipes are all pantry-centered because we believe that having certain essential ingredients on hand is key to successful home cooking. We combine these pantry basics - whole grains, herbs, spices, and/or legumes - with a few fresh ingredients to create simple, affordable, nutritious, and delicious recipes that anyone can make.
